Brand Story
The roots of BWT, dating back to 200 years ago, was in a beautiful town in Schriesheim, Germany. As initials for “Best”, “Water” and “Technology”, BWT clearly tells the people its mission and ambition in water purification technology. During 200 years, it has been developing, and also been dedicated to the well-being of human beings. With full passion and vitality, BWT has challenged the larger and more complicated water purification field to ensure healthy water and improve life quality for residents all over the world continuously .
Water philosophy in the East and the West
The main idea from both the Eastern and the Western World is that water is the source of the world.
Thales,the philosopher from Ancient Greece, holds the view that “water is the first principle of everything”. Also he thinks water is spiritual, is inside everything everywhere by osmosis. Thus he believes that “all things are full of gods and god is that mind which shaped and created all things from water; it is through the fundamental water that the movement of the universe is directed by the divine power.”
Water, full of flexibility and rhythm, the designer puts it into his idea of space, expressing that everything originates from water and, finally, that everything goes back to water.
Ancient Chinese philosophers think that water is an existence of essence. Lao Tzu wrote in the Laws Divine and Human (Tao Te Ching) that the highest good is like water. It benefits everything without taking or contending. Water likes the places where men dislike, so it follows closely the divine law.”
The designer hopes that through his own efforts, more excellent works can be created so that the world can consider him and his team also his projects as “the Oriental Pearl”, spreading “beauty of elasticity” aesthetics, just like water.
BWT’s water purification philosophy
Water, is not only the source of life, but also a limited resource. BWT focuses on the sustainability of water resources with cutting-edge expertise, innovative manufacturing technology, and high-quality products.
Water can purify all things. Blue and white, are the theme color of the space, where the blue water pattern softens the modern space and makes it full of flexibility.
Inspired by the magnesium ions in BWT’s unique patented technology, the exhibition installation has a shape sharing similarity with capsule, which is surrounded by black annular surfaces. When it appears as a whole, the black color fades away naturally, so that people’s sight falls on the capsule-like object, becoming the visual focus of the space.
The designer’s strength lies in years of experience and unique understanding of space, which enables him to innovate in the pursuit of balance from the four dimensions of time, space, function and form, in the design work, and show the “beauty of elasticity”.
III. Design Thoughts
In different states things shape differently. More possibilities for creativity are given to the space by polymorphism of water. In the process of construction, the extraction of design elements and the expression of materials have a direct influence on space completion. Therefore, the challenge from nature is how to connect with natural products in the process of creation.
